Design in revolution. A good idea yet to be fully realised ……

A development of an earlier idea for a cheval mirror. This design offers opportunities for storage of clothing and accessories, scarves and ties and allows for personalisation. It also includes a hidden (fly on the wall) camera for the voyeur …. not really but maybe a promising idea.

3 legs are the best balancing act! This idea experimented with the use of laser cut and folded sheet metal. Part of my ongoing design development for future products.

My design for ‘Spark’. An exhibition of lights and the first exhibition at Studio 13. The concept uses layers of metal sheet as light diffusers. Suspended on thin wires the lights appear to float in space, creating a variety of tonal changes and shadows.

Breathing new life into an old warehouse has created a great environment for my studio to operate and also to showcase many of my ideas as part of the buildings detail. The space allows me to host work by other creatives and organisations, with some memorable events already celebrated to date.

Sometimes referred to as the spoon, this idea has been extensively used and generally works well… Sometimes late in the evening, as a disposal unit after too much refreshment.

An interesting twist…. this simple design solution for the alternative lifestyle community at Malaney includes an image of a gheko, a prolific but no indigenous species.

The vision of architect Peter Young and his client allowed Bjorn Rust and myself the opportunity to be involved in the redevelopment of an older factory complex. Now a state-of-the-art working environment for all levels of personnel throughout the facility.
